Ceramics Classes & Events
Clayspace offers classes and workshops in a relaxed learning environment. Classes & workshops are taught by resident ceramic artists. They are always available to help with ideas or answer questions.
Clayspace is an ideal venue for special occasions, such as corporate team building workshops, birthday parties, and more. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, inviting social interaction and creativity.

Potter's wheel class - 6 weeks

Time: 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Description:
Our six week class on the potter's wheel will be offered again in September. Taught by resident artist Todd Hickerson, classes are small, allowing for lots of personal instruction. Learn basic throwing skills or expand on techniques you've already learned. Open studio time between class allows everyone to proceed at their own pace. $190 per person includes class instruction, open studio time, use of studio tools & glazes, firing, and a bag of clay. The class concludes with a raku firing and potluck party.

Hand building for all ages
Class start date: 09/06/2008
Time: Noon -2:00 pm
Beginning Saturday, September 6, clayspace is offering a handbuilding class for children ages 7 and up. This 4 week class will be taught by local ceramic artist and OSU graduate Lauren Gilmore. Participants will have an opportunity to create functional or decorative works of art from clay using handbuilding techniques. $80 per child includes 4 classes and materials.
